"Myrtie's Memories"
Written by Myrtie Candace Lovell Welch
She was born Myrtie Candace Lovell, on a farm near Woodland, in 1890
By the time of her passing in 1989, almost a hundred years had passed and
the world had turned upside down. The Sunfield Historical Society is
happy to allow readers to bask in Myrtie's Memories, back to the family's
Ohio beginning, then to Lansing, to rural stops in this area, to the farm where she
was born, and evolves both people and places to her conclusion in 1984, which is not
truly a conclusion. That's because hers is the story of one of Sunfield's long-standing
families and businesses, and they remain local institutions to this day.
