“The Importance of Preserving Your Family History & Heirlooms”

One of the most precious things we can pass on to our children, and the children of their children, is the history of their family.  It helps to give them a sense of their place in the cycle of the generations.  It is important that we preserve the wealth of stories that go along with the heirlooms that have been passed down in a family for generations.  Find out why those items were so precious to your ancestors and pass those stories along so that they will be preserved for future generations.

“How to Preserve Family Histories and Heirlooms”

There are a great number of things that genealogist can and should use to preserve their family histories and heirlooms.  In order to preserve our roots and pass them on we need to learn how to take care of them so that they will be available to future generations.  This session will be devoted to helping you learn how best to preserve your family papers, photos and other family treasures.   We need to learn the proper storage and preservation techniques to save our family treasures for years to come.
